Aetna Medicare Supplement Plans are offered in addition to Medicare Part A and Part B to help eligible individuals pay for additional healthcare costs, like deductibles and co-payments. This plan is available in fifteen states, and allows members to visit doctors and hospitals of your choosing. The plans offered are A, B, F, G and N and are designed to enhance Medicare coverage.
Basic benefits include:
- Medical expenses: Generally 20% of Medicare-approved expenses or copayments for outpatient services.
- Hospitalization: Coverage for 365 days after Medicare coverage ends.
- Blood: First three pints of blood per year.
- Hospice: Part A coinsurance.
Plans A, B, F, G and N offer varying coverage, including options for 100% Part B coinsurance, skilled nursing coinsurance, Part A deductible, Part B deductible and foreign travel emergency.
To be eligible for an Aetna Supplement, you must be a resident of the state in which it is offered, enrolled in Medicare Parts A and B and paying Part B premiums, and over the age of 65 or under the age of 65 with a disability.
