United Healthcare AARP Supplemental Insurance Plans

AARP Supplemental Insurance Plans are insured by the private insurance company UnitedHealthcare. AARP only endorses the healthcare with its name, but is not a part of the insurance process.

UnitedHealthcare Supplement Plans may help cover some expenses not included in Medicare Parts A and B, like coinsurance, copayments and deductibles. UnitedHealthcare supplements do not require a referral to see a specialist and may help cover annual out-of-pocket expenses.

Under one of these plans, you can still go to any Medicare provider in the U.S. for treatment and you can add Medicare prescription drug coverage (Part D) to your insurance plan. UnitedHealthcare supplement plans are guaranteed renewable, and you cannot be denied coverage based on health or number of claims filed.

To be eligible for a United Healthcare Supplement, you must be over the age of 65 and already enrolled in Medicare Part B. Benefits range from basic coverage to foreign emergency care. Monthly premiums vary by zip code. These are the plans offered to residents all over the U.S.:

  • Plan A
  • Plan B
  • Plan C
  • Plan F
  • Plan K
  • Plan L
  • Plan N

Note: Massachusetts, Minnesota and Wisconsin may have varying insurance standardizations.
